Frank Norris has lived in Alaska since 1983. He spent much of the 1980s in Skagway, where he was a ranger and historian at Klondike Gold Rush National Historical Park. He now works for the National Park Service in Anchorage. The Klondike gold rush remains a favourite research focus. He has also written on topics ranging from homesteading to gardening, tourism, container shipping, sport fishing and various histories of Alaska's national park unit.
