Dan Norman

With a B.Sc and a B.Ed from Memorial University of Newfoundland, Dan Norman taught for 27 years in rural Newfoundland high schools. Since retiring, he has devoted time to writing and playing music, and has released two CDs, one gospel and one of original songs. Dan likes outdoor activities, hates to be indoors, and has three wonderful sons, Steven, Jonathan and Daniel, as well as a grandson, Matthew. He lives in Gambo, NL with his loving partner, Katty Gallant, and describes himself as an ordinary person who has had incredible experiences with death, and often wonders why he is still here.

A longtime writer, Tara studied journalism at Concordia University before beginning her career as a researcher at the International Labour Office in Geneva, Switzerland. She has spent time in Brazil, and taught journalism in the U.K. before taking up a reporter position with The Telegram in St. John's, NL in 2003. She has been the newspaper's arts and life reporter since 2008. She lives in St. John's with her husband and son, and enjoys photography, film and doing crafty things in her spare time.
