Rocky Neufeld grew up on a family farm in Western Canada and attended church regularly. He continued his connection with farming by choosing a career in agricultural writing and has continued to be involved in the church: singing in the choir, teaching Sunday School to teenagers and performing short dramas in Church. When he ran out of works by other authors, he took on the challenge of writing his own dramas for worship services, based on the weekly scripture passages chosen for each service's theme.
