Mervyn Morris

Mervyn Morris was born in Jamaica in 1937. He is reader in West Indian Literature at UWI. He co-edited Jamaica Woman (1980) and Voiceprint (1989), and he edited The Faber Book of Contemporary Caribbean Short Stories (1990). He worked with Michael Smith on It a Come just before Smith was murdered. His own collections of poetry include The Pond and Shadow Boxing (1973), On Holy Week (1988), and Examination Centre (1995).
