Ryan McMahon is an Anishinaabe comedian, writer, media maker, and community activator. A graduate of the prestigious Second City Conservatory in Toronto, he is the first Indigenous comedian to headline a CBC television special (Ryan McMahon: UnReserved). Ryan has written for Vice, the Globe and Mail, CBC Indigenous, and the APTN television network, and is the CEO of the Makoons Media Group, a digital media company that focuses on telling Indigenous stories to worldwide audiences. His first book The Great NDN Paradox is forthcoming in 2018. He lives in Winnipeg.
