Rela Mazali

Author, independent scholar, feminist peace activist from Israel; Active from 1980 against Israel’s occupation; One of the founders (1998) of the anti-militarization movement, New Profile; Co-Founder (2010) of the gun control project Gun Free Kitchen Tables; Initiator of the documentary "Testimonies" (1993) scrutinizing soldiers' actions in the first Intifada; Served on the Jury of Conscience at the World Tribunal on Iraq (2005). Bi-lingual literary work includes, among others, Maps of Women’s Goings & Stayings (English, 2001) and Home Archaeology (Hebrew, 2011). Recent scholarly work: “Changing Consciousness: Autoethnographic Mapping in a Dialog Group,” Journal of Peace Education (2013), co-authored with Tamar Hager.
