About Benjamin Mandelkern BENJAMIN MANDELKERN was born in 1916. He came to Canada in 1950 and lived in Montreal until 1968, when he moved to Toronto. He wrote Escape from the Nazis to satisfy the curiosity of his children and grandchildren about his life story.
