About

Eva MacLean

Eva MacLean left her settled, Presbyterian Ontario life behind in 1911 to follow her young minister/veterinarian husband to the `wilds` of northwestern British Columbia (Hazelton). It was during the days of the mining rush and railroad building boom in the early years of this country. Her book The Far Land was originally written as a family history, the manuscript is now published as part of BC history.
