KENNETH C. LIVINGSTON is a graduate of the University of Toronto, where he received the degrees of B.A.Sc. and M.A.Sc. In Aeronautical Engineering in 1947 and 1948, and the Ph.D. in Psychology in 1957. His college career was interrupted by two years' service with the R.C.A.F. as a navigator. Following graduation, Professor Livingston taught for eleven years at the University of Toronto, first in the Faculty of Applied Science and Engineering, and, after 1950, in the Institute of Business Administration. It was in connection with a course in Manufacturing Processes in the Institute, that the need for the kind of information supplied in the present volume became apparent. Dr. Livingston is at present Director of Technical Services, Northwestern Corrugated Box Company, Minneapolis, Minnesota.
