François Larocque is vice-dean and associate professor at the Faculty of Law, University of Ottawa, where he teaches tort law. He has also taught history and theory of common law, public law, and constitutional law. His research and legal practice relate mainly to transnational human rights litigation and language rights. Prior to joining the law school, he clerked at the Supreme Court of Canada and the Ontario Court of Appeal. François completed his Ph.D. in law at the University of Cambridge after completing his B.A. in philosophy and LL.B. at the University of Ottawa. He is a member of Law Society of Upper Canada
