Rakesh Lamba
Rakesh Lamba currently works on contract with Correctional Services Canada (CSC) Pacific Region, as well as maintaining a private practice. For the Correctional Services Canada, Dr. Lamba primarily provides psychiatric risk assessment reports for the Parole Board of Canada (previously known as National Parole Board). He also maintains a clinical practice within CSC, assessing and treating inmates upon reception, and inmates with acquired and congenital cognitive disorders who need cognitive rehabilitation. Until April 2010, he was medical manager of the Surrey/Fraser Valley Forensic Services Clinic, an outpatient clinic of the Forensic Psychiatric Services Commission in British Columbia. He has approximately fifteen years experience writing assessment reports for the courts, as well as risk assessment reports specifically for the Review Board for patients found NCR-MD and unfit to stand trial. He has a clinical assistant professor appointment in the division of forensic psychiatry at the University of British Columbia.
