Natalie Knight

 

Natalie Knight is Yurok from northern California and Diné (Navajo) from New Mexico. She is an organizer with the anti-capitalist and anti-colonial group Alliance Against Displacement in the Vancouver, BC area and she is part of the editorial collective for the grassroots social justice newspaper The Volcano. Natalie’s political articles have appeared in rabble.ca, The Mainlander, and The Volcano. She is a contributor to the forthcoming book,_ Turn This World Inside Out: The Emergence of Nurturance Culture_ (AK Press, 2019) and has a chapter in Learn, Teach, Challenge: Approaching Indigenous Literatures, edited by Deanna Reder and Linda Morra. She is a Contributing Editor to The Capilano Review and maintains a poetry writing practice. Her poetry and literary essays have appeared in armed cell, The Poetic Front, West Coast Line, Jacket Magazine, and Critiphoria, among others. She has a PhD in First Nations literature
