Steve (Pityu) Kenderes paints and makes sculptures, and lives on the other side of the whole country in a town called Pictou in a place called Nova Scotia. He lives in a rickety old house overlooking the sea with his partner Jen, many dogs and cats and stray animals, plants, and moss. He is a great lover of colour; it is his favourite thing, really. He also loves old black and white photographs, and imagining the colourful world the people in the photographs lived in.

He's part of the Old Trout Puppet Workshop, a company of artists who do all kinds of things together, like making puppet shows, operas, films, books, sculptures, and music, and performing all over the world.
