Jim Lotz is an acclaimed interpreter of the life and work of Moses Coady. His over 25 books include Canada's Forgotten Arctic Hero: George Rice and the Lady Franklin Bay Expedition, 1881-1884, Cape Breton Island (with his wife Pat), Father Jimmy: Life and Times of Jimmy Tompkins (with Michael R. Welton), and Jim's autobiography called Sharing the Journey. In 2006, Pat developed dementia. Jim nursed her with unfailing love and patience until her death in 2012, then wrote Pilgrim Souls to help others treading the same path.
