About Punch Imlach PUNCH IMLACH was born in Toronto in 1918. A lifelong hockey man, his aggressive coaching style drove the Toronto Maple Leafs to four Stanley Cup Championships in ten years during the late 1950s and 1960s. He died in 1987.
