Douglas Hopkins, a native of Old Perlican (Trinity Bay, Newfoundland) created his first storybook characters at the age of seven. He is now 35 and shares the joys of three children with his wife Darlene. Princess June and the Shadow Pirates is the first in a series of adventure storybooks that capture the scenic beauty of Newfoundland and further a tradition of sharing tall tales.
