Besides writing and travelling, Colin Hayward likes to sail, and has scuba dived from the Great Lakes to the Great Barrier Reef. For many years he was a professor of theatre at Cambrian College in Sudbury, and still freelances as a director, lighting designer, actor and pyro tech. He lives outside Sudbury, Ontario.
