Elaine Hayes studied creative writing at the University of Calgary and the Humber School for Writers. Her short stories and essays have been published in numerous magazines and anthologies, including Grain Magazine; Alberta Views; Writing Menopause; and Somebody's Child: Stories about Adoption. Elaine lives in White Rock, British Columbia. White Margarine is her debut novel.
