Born and raised in China, Tong Ge came to Canada in the late 1980s as an international student. Since 2012, she has published poetry, prose, and short stories in both English and Chinese, appearing in literary journals such as Prism, Ricepaper, Flow, Canadian Stories, and The Polyglot. She has received four literary awards and is a finalist for six others. The House Filler won the 2024 Independent Press Award for New Fiction and is a finalist for the 2023 Eyelands Book Awards as well as the 2024 Canadian Book Club Awards. Tong Ge lives in Calgary, Alberta.
