Andrew Louth, FBA, an Orthodox priest, is Professor Emeritus of Patristic and Byzantine Studies at Durham University, UK, and Visiting Professor of Eastern Orthodox Theology at the Vrije Universiteit, Amsterdam. He is the author of several books on patristics and theology.
