Puneet Dutt is the daughter of immigrants and was born in New Delhi, India and raised in Jersey City, New Jersey. She received her MA in English from Ryerson University, and resides in Toronto, Ontario with her husband, where she is an editorial board member of Canthius, a literary journal. Puneet is also a certified Amherst Writers and Artist facilitator, and works with the Toronto Writers Collective, Ve'ahavta and the Toronto Public Library to help facilitate creative writing workshops that aim to encourage voice and illuminate undiscovered strength in Toronto's most vulnerable communities. Her work has been published in numerous journals and in Imaginarium 4: The Best Canadian Speculative Writing. In 2016, her chapbook PTSD south beach (Grey Borders Books) was a Finalist for the Breitling Chapbook Prize (Phantom Books).
