Daphne Dumont
Daphne Dumont, Q.C., is a lawyer in private practice in Charlottetown, Prince Edward Island. She studied law at Oxford University and completed a special concentration in Canadian law at Queen’s University. She practices family law, collaborative law, real estate, and wills and estates, and has a strong interest in legal aid and access to justice issues. She was a founding member of the Women’s Legal Education and Action Fund (LEA F) and was national president of the Canadian Bar Association. In 2009, she received the Governor General’s Medal in Commemoration of the Persons Case, in recognition of her work on improving access to justice in Canada.
