William E. Connolly is the Krieger-Eisenhower Professor at Johns Hopkins University, where he teaches political theory. His recent books include The Fragility of Things (2013), Facing the Planetary (2017), Aspirational Fascism (2017), and Climate Machines, Fascist Drives and Truth (2019). His new study, Resounding Events: Adventures of an Academic from the Working Class, will be published by Fordham University Press in 2022. In 2020 the Western Political Science Association named a new award The William E. Connolly Award to be awarded to the best conference paper in theory every year.
