Anne Marie Bourgeois creates narrative art where colourful images and characters take on lives of their own. Of indigenous ancestry that includes Huron, Migmag, and Algonquin connections, she is also a direct descendent of the Choctaw chief Pushmataha. She is inspired by her aboriginal history, and her work reflects a strong spiritual link to the natural world. Anne Marie is an art therapist with thirty plus years' experience working with children who suffer from abuse, trauma, and bereavement.
