Ingrid Baier grew up in Port Hardy, a fishing town at the northern tip of Vancouver Island, where she learned to catch and cook fish. She recently left an 18-year career in law enforcement to return to school and pursue her love of writing. After a brief stint writing technical manuals related to the Alberta oil patch, she turned her hand to fiction, and her first work can be found in the 2010 Fish Anthology, Co. Cork, Ireland (www.fishpublishing.com). She lives in Okotoks, Alberta with her husband and two children, where she is pursuing a Master of Teaching at the University of Calgary. Fish On is Ingrid's first cookbook.
