Susan Andrews Grace published five books of poetry previous to Hypatia's Wake. Philosopher at the Skin Edge of Being (Signature Editions, 2013) was shortlisted for the 2014 Fred Cogswell Award for Excellence in Poetry. She is also a visual artist and teaches writing at Oxygen Art Centre in Nelson, BC, where she lives.
