Description
This exhibition has been built around two central pieces from the past forty years of Viktor Tinkl's art making: The Meeting (1999) and Circle (2006). These two works become thematic of a gathering of characters. Individual pieces from his Chorus, Köpfe, Imperial Bird, Paint Can, Animal and Cement Heads series are included in a menagerie of personalities. An exhibition of Viktor's work would not be complete without his kinetic pieces; included are Rounda, Rounda (c.1988), Tinkl Bell (1995) and Seasons (2001). Also incorporated in the exhibition are a number of drawings - these are images that poured from his imagination more quickly than his sculptures and record milestones as do his three dimensional works - showcasing the mind of a keen observer.
