Description
Whoever Controls the Past Writes the Future
Seventeen-year-old Dan and his partner Sam know that their only chance to stop Victor Stahl’s in his quest for global domination is another jump into the past. This time, they find themselves in ancient Greece on the eve of one of history’s most famous conflicts: the Battle of Thermopylae. Heavily outnumbered by the massive Persian army, the Spartan warriors and their allies are girding themselves for war when a horrible accident threatens the fabric of history itself. In a race against time, Dan and Sam must battle to prevent a catastrophe far worse than Victor’s sinister plans. Exciting, action-packed, and full of historical intrigue, The Spartan Sacrifice is perfect for teen and young adult readers who love time travel, epic battles, and fast-paced adventures.
About the author
Contributor Notes
Since his mother revealed that he’s descended from Vikings, ANDREW VARGA has been captivated by history. He has studied extensively, read hundreds of history books, watched numerous historical films, and earned a BA from the University of Toronto with a specialist in history and a major in English. Andrew has traveled across Europe, explored famous castles, museums, and historical sites, and over time, has built a collection of swords, shields, and other medieval weapons. He currently resides in the greater Toronto area with his wife Pam, their three children, and their lively mix of two dogs, two cats, a turtle, and some fish. It was his children’s passion for reading—especially historical and fantasy stories—that inspired Andrew to begin writing this series. Outside of his writing and editing work, Andrew enjoys reading more history, playing guitar, and participating in beach volleyball.
