Description

Published in the United States in 1917 by expatriate Maritimer Basil King, The High Heart is the story of an idealistic young Halifax woman plunged into the world of fashionable New York society, where she faces hard choices about love and nationality against the darkening backdrop of the First World War.

About the authors

BASIL KING was born in 1859 in Charlottetown, PEI, and attended the University of King's in Halifax. He went on to become a clergyman first in Nova Scotia, and later in New England.
