About the author

James Leo Conway was born in Granby, Quebec in 1956 and was educated in Ontario. After several years of work and study in Dublin and London he took up a teaching post in South India, where he wrote the stories in this collection. Recently he returned to India to complete a thesis on the Bengali opera business and to begin work on a novel.
