Description
This book is a practical and beautifully photographed guide to 144 varieties of roses recommended for growing in Ontario. Liz Klose, of the prestigious Niagara Parks School of Horticulture, has joined with garden writer Laura Peters to craft a common-sense resource that covers the most important information about each of the recommended varieties. Enjoy the more than 300 full-colour photographs as you read where to plant roses, which roses will do best in your garden, how to purchase, plant and care for different kinds of roses, how to protect rose plants over the winter and how to identify and treat various pests and diseases that can attack the plants. The book is divided into nine sections: species, hybrid tea, floribunda, grandiflora, old garden, climber and rambler, miniature, groundcover and shrub.
