This collection of poems is second in the Winter Quarters Press series of recordings and books celebrating the life of those who live in bunchgrass country. The book includes poems recorded on The Bull Rider’s Wife as well as many new poems, appearing here for the first time. Illustrated with photographs and sketches from BC’s Cariboo country and the authors’ own Pioneer Ranch.

Richard Thomas Wright is an historical and outdoors writer and photographer. He has published 22 books and countless magazine and newspaper articles. For several years, Wright has operated the Theatre Royal in Barkerville with Newman and Wright Theatre Co. He now lives in Wells, the heart of gold country, just eight kilometres from Barkerville.
