Editorial Reviews

"Stevenson captures the essence of Pride...an expansive celebration with room for all who love and cherish others."

Publishers Weekly

"Affirming phrases remind adults reading the text (and ensure those listening) that no matter what, they are loved and accepted and are recognized within the open-ended nature of the flag. Along with Richard Van Camp's Welcome Song for Baby and Sarah Yi-Mei Tsiang's Toesy Toes Pride Colors is a declaration of human difference and resilience in the face of so much adversity seen around the world today."

CM: Canadian Review of Materials

★ "A good thing comes in a small, rainbow package...A joyful, affirming, pride-filled read."

Kirkus Reviews, starred review

“Parents and educators will want a copy of this book for their library. Both the text and photographs show the beauty of all people of this world and the importance of sharing our love with everyone.”

Must Read Literature: K thru YA

★ "Awash in messages of love and the celebration of individuality, this dual concept book highlights LGBTQIA+ families in a positive, glittery light. A rare treat for both Pride Day and everyday sharing. Essential for all libraries serving young children and their caregivers."

School Library Journal, starred review

"Parents will enjoy reading Stevenson's loving words as much as children will enjoy the uplifting statements, gentle rhythms, and bright photos of children (and a few parents) on the pages…A delightful addition to the small number of LGBTQ-inclusive board books and to young children's books celebrating LGBTQ history and Pride."
