Description
From a stroll through the woods to a death walk down a mountain, from a tool shed to a huge airport, Joe has seen it all, combining determination, enthusiasm and good humour. His previous books (all best sellers) Never Fly Over an Eagle s Nest, Never a Time to Trust, Never Chop Your Rope and Never Under the Table earned him the title as the Never Author, but he's never dull. How could he be with the stories he has to tell of his ener¬getic and action-packed life?
Born in 1907, Joe Garner is back with his fifth book. The theme? His pioneer life from his boyhood on Saltspring Island through his youth eking out a living during the Depression of the 1930s, supervising tough wartime con¬struction jobs, operating as many as 20 logging camps and breeding show¬winning cattle on his ranch south of Nanaimo.
Never Forget the Good Times highlights parts of his fascinating life he never got around to writing about. It shows the uiiknown side ... Joe Garner, the family man. This latest Garner story is as engaging as the man who can share, but with only a few, the title of Mr. British Columbia.
