About the authors

Arthur Pincus was Vice President Public Relations for the National Hockey League for six years. He also served as the League's Editorial Director, helping produce such books as A Day in the Life of the National Hockey League and Total Hockey: The Official Encyclopedia of the National Hockey League, for which he was Senior Consulting Editor. He also helped create the NHL-licensed publications, PowerPlay and FaceOff magazines. Mr Pincus has been the Sports Editor of the Washington Post, the Executive Editor of Sports Inc. magazine, a sports business weekly published by Times Mirror, and the Deputy Sports Editor of the New York Times. He is the author of two books on sports language.
