About the author
Andrew Evans, his wife Sharon and their dog Nellie live in Victoria, BC, not far from their son and three grandchildren. Andrew has business, law and finance degrees and works as an executive with a small company in the hydrogen energy business. Victoria is the only place in a cold country where Andrew can follow his passion for singlehanded sailing, 52 weeks a year. He is well known around the world for the 2014 bestselling book "Singlehanded Sailing; Thoughts, Tips, Techniques & Tactics" which has become a standard for high performance solo sailing. He has undertaken a variety of serious hobbies over the years, including bicycle racing, white water kayaking, robotics, carpentry and, after hundreds of hours of practice, has an ability to play five instruments poorly - really, really poorly - really. Andrew is currently trying to figure out gravity.
