Stephen Michael King has never been able to live without drawing. When he was ten-years-old he became partially deaf and experienced difficulty communicating with people, so drawing and dreaming became his escape. His beautiful books have won many awards in Australia, including Children's book Council of Australlia Picture Book of the Year Award and the Family Award for Children's Books. He lives outside of Sydney, Australia.
