Description

Tom is looking forward to spending spring break in Mexico with his girlfriend, Kat. Her father, an FBI agent, has invited Tom to join them at a fancy Cancun resort for some much-needed R&R. But when the daughter of a local law-enforcement officer goes missing, Kat's dad is pulled into the investigation. Soon after, Tom notices a yacht in the marina with a suspicious-looking crew and a kid matching the missing girl's description. Investigating further could lead Tom into the dangerous world of ruthless Mexican drug cartels.

Mayan Murder continues the story started in River Traffic.

About the author

Martha Brack Martin is an award–winning teacher–librarian in the southern Ontario town of LaSalle, near Windsor. After twenty–five years as a teacher (seventeen of them as a TL), she is still thrilled by getting kids excited about reading and finding just the right book for the right person. She was dared by a colleague a few years ago to put Book Babe on her business card, and she now revels in the title. The creator of a number of Book Babe teacher guides and author of four nonfiction books for children, she frequently facilitates workshops on children's literature, teaching with technology and librarianship.

Editorial Reviews

&quotFast-paced…a good start for reluctant teen readers.&quot

Kirkus Reviews

&quotThe author deserves credit here for creating a reasonably complex story using simple language within a truncated story structure.&quot
