About the authors

Karen W. Olson (BFA) is Cree/Anishinaabe of Peguis First Nation in Manitoba. She is the department head of creative writing at the En'owkin Centre. Karen is working towards her MFA and continues to write stories for children and adults.

Leonard George, Jr., is a member of the Thompson First Nation, born in Lytton, British Columbia. Leonard has participated in numerous arts festivals and has studied inter-disciplinary visual arts for fourteen years. He completed the national Aboriginal professional artist training program at the En'owkin Centre in Penticton. (The University of Victoria is a partner in the program.) Leonard resides in Merritt, British Columbia.
