About the author
Although she has always had a love for the outdoors, Jennifer Voss's passion for canoeing began at the age of 13 while attending summer camp in Ontario. The wilderness canoe trips she experienced there left an unshakeable impression on her which continues to this day. Although Jennifer took a short break from canoeing to go to university--to take civil engineering with a speciality in hydrology--her love for canoeing has been an underlying current which affects everthing she does.
Jennifer has been organizing and participating in wilderness canoe trips for more than 20 years, and has become an acknowledged expert by her peers. Jennifer has been a certified flatwater canoe instructor in British Columbia. Living in Port Moody, BC, with her husband and daughters and cat Psycho, Jennifer is an avid photographer and artist, hobbies which complement her canoeing as well. While not canoeing, she is often sorting through her many photographs and reflecting on past canoeing adventures, or dreaming of future trips.
