Description

Sunita Sanker-Clarke has been teaching yoga classes to children since 2007. In 2009 she was inspired to incorporate storytelling in her classes. She created and uses different types of stories to make the children's yoga classes for fun and adventurous. She uses stories to describe the world; such as, Kids Yoga Play: I Can Move, relaxation stories that help children to relax and other yoga play (drama) stories. p.1 In yoga class we move our bodies in different ways. (Mountain Pose: Stand facing forward with your arms relaxed at the sides of your body. Take deep, long breaths, expanding your chest and abdomen.)

p.2 I reach up high.
(Standing backward bend: Inhale, stretch your arms up over your head and shift your hips forward.)

p.3 I bend down low.
(Standing forward bend: Exhale and bend forward at your hips. Let your arms hang down towards the ground.)
