About the authors

Carolyn Mallory vit à Iqaluit, où elle partage son temps entre son travail à la bibliothèque et l’écriture. Depuis son arrivée au Nunavut, en 1999, elle a consacré une grande partie de son temps à se renseigner sur la nature qui l’entoure. Cet ouvrage est son deuxième, après le très populaire Plantes communes du Nunavut, qu’elle a rédigé en collaboration avec Susan Aiken. L’étude des insectes lui semblait une suite naturelle à l’étude des plantes. Carolyn travaille actuellement à plusieurs projets de fiction et elle a publié son premier poème cette année.

Amiel Sandland is an illustrator living in the Toronto area. He studied illustration at Seneca College, eventually specializing in comic arts and character design. He has also dabbled in layout, comics, and props making. Rarely found without a pen in hand, he enjoys drawing animals, monsters, and plants.
