About the author
Aly has been an artist and a creator ever since she was old enough to understand how colours and shapes worked together…she grew up drawing and painting all the time and was always working on once creative project or another. A couple of years ago she picked up embroidery after being inspired by another local artist and hasn’t looked back since. Aly was drawn to and continues to create embroidery for its wonderful textural aspects and methodical process. From drafting a design, to choosing a colour palette, stitching to photographing and creating patterns, she loves the whole process! She is continually drawn back to floral and natural elements that she has woven into seasonal designs and collections. She currently resides in Alberta, Canada, where she creates professional Embroidery Patterns as a small business owner.
