About the authors
Hans Christian Andersen (1805-1875) was a prolific Danish author and poet best known for his fairy tales. His stories have crossed all limitations of time and space, having been translated into more than 125 languages,and have become an integral part of children’s literature worldwide. A master of the genre, his stories present lessons and entertainment for readers of all ages.
Stefan Czernecki lives in Vancouver but has traveled all over the world. His work reflects his global outlook, as he draws his artistic inspiration from the folk art of the countries he has visited. Stefan is the illustrator of many titles, including Paper Lanterns, The Singing Snake, The Sleeping Bread, Mr. Belinsky's Bagels and Mama God, Papa God.
Mus White was born and raised in Copenhagen. She has translated Little Rhymes Little Photos by Hans Christian Andersen. She also wrote From the Mundane to the Magical, a bibliography on photographically illustrated children’s books. She now lives in Los Angeles.
