About the authors

Dan De Figueiredo has been a journalist, television wirter, filmmaker and playwright. His love for words began when his aunt and uncle gave him a copy of Robinson Crusoe, and he never looked back. After earning his BA in Political Science from McMaster, followed by a BAA in Journalism from Ryerson, Dan worked on the Canadian version of Who Wants To Be A Millionaire, Reach for the Top, numerous television and theatre productions and several independent films. He is currently a freelance television writer, producer and researcher, and has written two other books for Blue Bike — Weird Canadian Places and Weird Ontario Places.
