About the Authors

Diane Carmel Léger grew up in the Acadian village of Memramcook, New Brunswick. For 20 years, she lived in Victoria, British Columbia, where she taught French Immersion and wrote books in French and English. Diane has left the West but a little part of herself stayed behind in the virgin rainforests of Vancouver Island where her family was involved in saving some of the world's tallest trees. When Paul finds out that the original landlady of the house he lives in was Emily Carr, his creativity comes alive. Originally published in 1991 by Orca Book Publishers as The Attic of All Sorts with illustrations by Pamela Cambiazo (Our Choice 1992).
