Description

In this delightful tale of the power of the imagination, Art's supplies come to life in the studio, creating mayhem and magic—and art! — Southwestern Ohio Young Adult Materials Review Group

"Beautiful illustrations and some lovely art jokes...A fun book. Highly recommended."

— The Pragmatic Artist blog

"Full of slapstick, hokey jokes and the not-so-subtle message that art is worth making, this book captures how much fun fooling around with different media can be. Kids will want to grab some colored pencils and get to work themselves."

— Booklist

"If the humor tickles the adults more than children in just a couple cases, they won't notice because they will be enthusiastically reading each of the supplies' words throughout the pages. There is plenty of humor for the very young throughout and I consider the variety of humor a strong point in keeping interest rolling thoughout the story...Put Art's Supplies on your fall list. Your art teachers are going to LOVE you."

— School Library Journal blog

"A refreshing, unique book."

— CM Magazine

"Gorgeously coloured...Tougas's great skill at joyous illustration is just icing on the cake."

— Quill & Quire

"A humorous look at art supplies...young readers will like the funny and colorful pictures."
