Lovely story of a courageous but troubled knight who picks up a "lad" on his way to a monastery to dedicate his life to God. Of course the lad is a lass and they are forced to wed by the king. Of course their lives are turbulent with a load of baggage and a malice and vengeful Aunt adding to the mountains they need to climb to make it to a happily ever after. I really enjoyed this book, good plot and a depth of character that leaves you wanting to know more.
