The tone is comforting...Much accurate factual information is relayed in this gentle manner. A photo and full-page illustrations by Romi Caron accompanies each narrative. Like the text, the paintings are realistic, yet softened, and full of personality.
This book is an appealing volume for the curious reader. The combined text is published in a larger format and is beautifully illustrated. The art is large, colorful and realistic with lots of detail – a great reference for more information. Each two page spread covers a different sub-topic and in most cases the second page is a full-page brightly colored illustration. Written in anecdotal style, the text is entertaining and informative.
