Why it's on the list ...
Recommended by Library Journal. It is not “just” another parenting book and I would highly recommend that parents add it to their home libraries S-O-S For Parents

Your goal as a parent, Dawson says, should be to get your adolescent child into adulthood, alive, healthy, preferably educated and skilled, without a major drug problem or criminal record or pregnancy. Anything more is icing and a pleasure to behold.

And, this book is your support and encouragement to do the right thing to achieve the above goal.

Peek into the private lives of 18 professional writers from the NWT to PEI
"humanity and humaneness resonates throughout" New York Journal of Books

I love the idea of this book—essays from a group of authors who embody the spirit of diversity. The stories are as different as the people who wrote them. What they share is talent, love of writing, and Canada. Everything about Prose to Go: Tales From a Private List speaks of professionalism. The more I read, the more I wanted belong to Bobbi Graham's select group of friends. Maybe next time she puts together a project like this, she will reach across the border and include me. I would be honored.

From Blog Critics: Pitt displays an ability to weave wit, humor and nostalgia into artful story-telling similar to the works of Garrison Keillor, the celebrated author of Lake Wobegone Days, and Jean Shepherd whose collected anecdotes eventually became the holiday classic A Christmas Story.

"These true life tales range from the gently picaresque to the wildly funny. Leacock Redux" William Deverell, award winning crime novelist, Pender Island BC
